To launch our latest lifestyle feature right here on The Abi Fisher Edit blog, we decided to ask the Abi Fisher team to open their address books and reveal their favourite staycations from across the UK.
With uncertainty looming over when we’ll next be able to travel to our overseas vacay spots, we’re embracing a treasure trove of destinations a little closer to home. Yes, the weather in the UK is completely temperamental. But we’re not sacrificing wanderlust! The UK is overflowing with beautiful destinations just waiting to be explored.
So where do the Abi Fisher team like to stay-cay? And what does their staycation wardrobe look like?!
First up, is our very own Abi Fisher!
For those of you who have just landed on our website and don’t know too much about Abi Fisher herself or the exclusive collection just yet, don’t fret! We can’t wait to introduce you…
Meet Abi Fisher.
Abi started the Abi Fisher Exclusive Collection back in 2011 as a showroom concept in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Fast forward to 2021, and we now have our very own website too!
The Exclusive Collection houses niche European brands of exceptional quality; think beautiful unique pieces that can’t just be found on the high street. So, for those of us who like a little luxury, the Abi Fisher Exclusive Collection is where it’s at!
Our showroom is housed in a beautifully converted barn in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, and we offer clients, through private personal or virtual shopping appointments, access to clothing and style advice that can’t be easily found anywhere else.
So, enough of the intros (we know you’re here for staycation vibes).
Abi’s favourite UK staycation? Daylesford Farm.
Daylesford is an idyllic 2,350-acre organic farm set in the stunning Cotswolds countryside. Surrounded by picturesque clover-rich pastures, you’ll spy their organic animals roaming freely around the estate (alongside Abi exploring the Bamford Barn boutique!).
Cue the M&S advert voiceover…Daylesford is not just any farm. Daylesford is a much-deserved weekend getaway farm! From their quaint Cotswolds Cottages for rent to The Wild Rabbit, a quintessentially British inn to eat, drink and sleep (all part of the Daylesford estate) and at just under 3 hours from here in Cheshire and 1 hour 45 from central London, heading to Daylesford as a destination break or a daytime adventure is the perfect little treat.
You can also add exploration of cute Cotswolds towns to your weekend itinerary such as Chipping Camden, Stow-On-The-Wold, or Bourton-On-The-Water.
Abi is one of Daylesford’s hugest fans, largely due to how much there is on site to explore. And for exploration, you’ll need practical and comfortable yet super stylish attire…Abi’s choice? Beyond the main farm, you’ll find Bamford Barn (fabulous clothing and beauty), Wellness Spa (and breathe...), Workshop, Cookery School and multiple options for healthy juices and delightful carb overloads throughout the day. It’s a maze of wonderful discovery!
Bamford Barn, one of Abi’s favourite areas of Daylesford alongside the Spa, houses beautiful women’s clothing and natural body and skincare products. Lady Carole Bamford, founder of Daylesford, has created a tremendous way of life for her customers though stunning women’s clothing and body and skincare products that are all natural and artisan made.
As Carole says herself, “Bamford is a way of life…we are inspired by nature to make collections that are timeless and nurturing”. Abi adored her recent visit, perusing the outstanding seasonal colour palettes of cornflower blues, one of our favourite colours to utilise across the Abi Fisher Exclusive Collection in Spring/Summer!
Carole Bamford is also the founder of charitable foundation Nila House, which aims to preserve traditional Indian craft, through conserving, promoting and strengthening artisanal communities in India. Baby brand ‘Nila Jaipur’, under the foundation Nila House, has been launched recently in Bamford Barn and Abi thoroughly enjoyed browsing (she may have also made a fashionable purchase for her beautiful baby Ezra!)
