Without a doubt, the global pandemic has changed the fashion landscape, most notably what we’re wearing now and what we’re willing to purchase. So, we caught up with Abi Fisher herself to learn about what we can expect from her Spring Summer 2021 collection, in-store and online.
Q: Hi Abi! Describe the Abi Fisher Spring Summer 21 collection in 3 words…
Timeless, Quality and Craftsmanship.
Q: What are the key colour themes within the collection?
The spring summer collection will undoubtedly lift our spirits with colourful and vibrant pieces across an array of colours from neons to pretty pinks to striking silvers.
Q: What key pieces would you advise us to invest in?
Mood boosting loungewear! As most of us continue to work from the comfort of our homes, luxe-loungewear is emerging as the go-to fashion choice. Invest in our ‘Abi Fisher’ own label block colour and tie dye sweaters to lift your spirits during lockdown and beyond.
Q: What’s your favourite piece from the new collection and how would you style it?
Well, firstly, one of my personal favourite brands from the new collection would be Devotion–a brand designed and crafted in Athens which prides itself on effortless silhouettes with traditional Greek inspired embroidery. The Devotion day dresses would have to be my favourite pieces for their unique designs, woven patterns and sophisticated fabrics. I would style the dresses with a pair of Castañer wedges to finish the look. We’ll actually be stocking Castañer this year too, which is really exciting.
Q: Are there any new brands that we can look forward to seeing within the collection?
I may have already given it away, but we are all so excited to be working with Castañer. Castañer is an iconic Spanish shoe brand with a fabulous selection of espadrilles and wedges using sustainable materials. You can really dress up or dress down a look with footwear from this collection. I’d say a pair of Castañer wedges is a key investment piece for your spring summer season wardrobe.
Q: How would you describe your style?
Clean, polished and feminine. The best fashion rule for me is outfit planning…it proves to be a game changer for daily styling and a time saver!
Q: What’s your go-to accessory from the new collection?
It’s got to be a fabulous styling piece from the German fashion brand Dorothee Schumacher. The ‘Charming Softness Vest’ is an embellished, cropped lambskin gilet which can be worn in so many ways; styled over a piece of knitwear or over a delicate dress such as the sensational ‘Fantasy Moment Dress’ from Dorothee Schumacher, which we’ll be stocking this spring summer season, too.
Q: How has the Coronavirus pandemic influenced the new season styles and colours?
We’ve seen the fashion landscape change during the course of the pandemic. With more people working from home, fashion requirements have changed. We’re excited to now focus the new collection on functional, relaxed comfortable clothing such as sloughy tailoring and easy mix and match separates. We’re looking forward to launching our new spring summer 2021 collection in-store and online soon as we truly believe our current and new client base will love the products.
